paper, each stamp tied by Fiume c.d.s. of September 13, 1919.

envelope sent open from Fiume to Susak, franked with one postage stamp,
55 centesimi surcharged on 1 Corona yellow-brown, affixed below the
flap, and cancelled with the circular datestamp of Fiume of December 4,
1919, and taxed on arrival to Slovenia 1 Krona and 20 filler (Scott
Postage Due #3LJ3, 3LJ5). The 1 Krona stamp was torn probably before
being affixed to this cover. Fiume #C83 has a catalogue value of Euro
40.00 as a used single, and is extremely scarce on a commercial cover.
||Sassone #1, 2. Two filler
undenominated, imperforate, orange, horizontal strip of eight, and 2
filler olive green and carmine, perforated, upper sheet margin strip of
six stamps, all Very Fine mint and Never Hinged. Sassone 2010 catalogue
value is Euro 175.00, which is about US$ 221.00.
||Sassone #4, 5. Two centesimi di
Corona yellow brown, triangular stamp, strip of seven stamps with sheet
margin at top, incription "POSTA DI FIUME" (one juncture
separated). And one centesimo di Lira "Steamship", strip
of six stamps; never hinged but with a crease which affects all stamps.
