Forerunner. A bill of lading
consigning merchandise to a ship's captain for transportation between
Casablanca and Gibraltar, datelined Mazagan, 6 June 1873. The
consignor was Carlo Morteo, owner of the shipping and forwarding company
in Morocco, and later founder of the Anglo-Italian Postal Service
between Mazagan and Marrakesh. A very attractive and historical
piece of collateral. Fine state of preservation.
