149910 essay c. 1897. A set of three essays for the "IMANAT DE MASCATE", denominated "1/2", 2 1/2", and "7 1/2", in multicoloured pastels, and with the tiny inscription "Projet/ H. DOUCHET Inv Del & Imp.". Peter Holcombe certificate stating that similar essays were produced by this printer for other countries including Crete, circa 1897. Very Fine and Very Rare. $1,125.00
