Three pence dull red tied by a light strike of the grid cancellation
with numeral "1" (ST.JOHN) to a cover addressed to RICHIBUCTO.
The stamp has full margins and is in perfect condition, the envelope has
a fault at bottom right and some age stains along the edges. On reverse
are the ST.JOHN split circle of JY 23 1856, the transit mark of
W.O.KINGSTON.KENT of July 23rd in red, and the arrival mark "RICHIBUCTO/N.B.
JY 24/1856" in black. Fine in spite of cover faults. |
