Scott #7 Eighty reis
gray tied by the crowned double circle "CORREIO DE TIMOR/DILLY"
with manuscript date "1/12/86", repeated alongside, to a small
envelope addressed to Lisboa. On reverse is the arrival c.d.s. of
January 26th, 1887. Only four covers franked with stamps of the
first issue of Timor are recorded. The "Crown" covers
of Timor are, therefore the rarest covers of the Portuguese Empire. This
cover is the key item of this country, especially considering the
outstanding quality of the stamp and the cover. Ex-Gonzales-Garcia,
Ex-Frazao. - SOLD
