- SOLD - Cover sent from Rio de Janeiro to London franked with two examples of 1 shilling green, Plate 4, cancelled and tied to the cover by two strikes of "C83", which pertain to the British Post Office at Rio de Janeiro. Alongside is the red c.d.s. "RIO DE JANEIRO A OC 23 71 PAID". On reverse is the London arrival postmark of November 17th. A few faults on the back side, still a marvellous looking cover, and a very scarce cover as well. |
